The Weehbo Tackleberry is a guitar and bass pre-amp specially designed for use with your favorite amp. It is based on the boost circuit of a legendary amp from the 80s, capable of delivering guitar and bass sounds with thickness, punch and a unique foundation.
No complicated interface: Volume, Gain and 2 toggle switches. The first allows you to change the clipping method to generate a drive (the Tackleberry is not just a pre-amp, it is also an OD silicon). The second is a Low cut filter which will act as a sort of EQ and will be extremely useful when combined with a bass. Inside it is Deutsche Qualität, quality PCB and top components.
23db of boost and a ton of headroom, that's what this ultra compact pre-amp offers you. In fact, it's not just a boost / pre-amp, it's a sound "magnifier". You gain in complexity, dynamics, response, and thanks to its clipping selector, you also have a light silicon overdrive which will allow you to attack your crunch channel to give it a little nice boost. The most notable thing is the massive headroom that sticks out of this box. Typically the kind of pedal you'll keep engaged constantly to enjoy the boost of everything, all the time.
The different clipping modes allow two different types of drive. Symmetrical with a slightly tighter bottom and asymmetrical with a wider spectrum and a rounder finish. The "Bass" toggle which acts as a low pass filter will be particularly useful for adjusting the low end of the spectrum and keeping it under control depending on your instrument or your equalization.
