With the Oil Slick Wah Platinum, Flattley offers us a premium Wah pedal with a spectacular finish! There is no shortage of Wah pedals on the market, mainly dominated by Dunlop and its CryBaby. Problem is, the manufacturing of these is not necessarily the most careful, this tends to give pedals that are quite garish, not very progressive and with an "aggressive" voice.
Paul Flattley offers us the Oil Slick which uses the original box in Dunlop format, but adopts a completely revised and corrected circuit. Custom knobs, true-bypass, reworked frequencies, the Oil Slick is an extremely vocal Wah with a unique sound signature. Indeed, it is much denser and softer than the quantity of Wahs available for sale. Forget the "screaming" sound spikes and the dry side of the usual models. The Oil Slick is the complete opposite of these.
Rich, progressive and fluid, it is easier to use on a clear sound. On a crunch sound, we gain expressiveness and nuances. On a saturated sound, its fluidity is highlighted and it will remain clear and articulate, even with a lot of gain, without "eating" notes, even when you are at the bottom of the frequency curve.
