Vertigo Tremolo
Source Audio's One Series range covers all the needs of today's guitar and bass players. In any quality line up, you need a Tremolo type pedal, for Source Audio, it's called the Vertigo! Inside this very pretty brushed aluminum case with a shimmering color hides a rich modulation machine!

Source Audio uses the same platform set up with the Nemesis, the Ventris and others... to create this superb and overpowered machine capable of delivering a whole variety of sounds ranging from the classic Opto-Trems of the 50's / 60's to the very fluid Bias Trem dear to Fender.

The assembly is perfect, the compact format and the handling very intuitive. Inside, there are high quality PCBs. At Source Audio it's not joking, the brand wants to be at the forefront of audio technologies, the architecture used offering computing power and processing quality that very few brands benefit from.

The Source Audio Vertigo Tremolo is: 3 types of tremolo on board, 3 presets, stereo in & out which, as we will see below, is incredibly flexible. You can also increase the power of the pedal tenfold by using the Neuro Mobile application which is full of additional settings and possibilities.
In concrete terms, it's an ultra-complete modulation pedal! It's not just an ordinary versatile Tremolo pedal. Imagine, through the Neuro app, you can access a huge collection of effects, load choruses, vibes, plus additional tremolos with extensive parametric EQ capabilities, stereo routing options, and advanced internal features.
For example, you can combine several effects (any type of modulation) in series or parallel, split the signal on each output and send each effect engine to a specific output. Nothing prevents you from having a tremolo on the right and a chorus on the left. Impressive!

And how does it sound? In standard configuration, the pedal incorporates a Normal mode which recreates the character of an Opto-Trem close to those found in Fender Blackface amps of the time. The sound is warm, the tremolo dense and rich. Ideal associated with a nice spring reverb like the True Spring.
We also have a Harmonoc tremolo which is inspired by the "brownface" Fenders manufactured between 1959 and 1963. Tremolos which alternately modulated the levels of the bass and treble frequencies in the audio signal. The result is a complex tremolo that has characteristics reminiscent of a phaser. Perfect for creating syncopated and dramatic effects.
The third mode is called Bias. This type of tremolo consists of using an LFO to modulate the bias voltage of the tubes within the amp. Concretely, this pushes the tubes to saturate or not. The result is fairly smooth amplitude modulation with a slight overdrive, created by tube saturation.
We particularly appreciate the very responsive and precise settings of the pedal which allow you to really sculpt your sound. The effect is deep, it does not overpower the attack and retains good transparency so as not to distort the original signal, with an optimized signal-to-noise ratio. Whichever way you set up the Vertigo, it remains a tool of exemplary musicality. We will particularly note the versatility of the Shape button which allows you to act on the LFO and select a soft shape that is more or less soft or aggressive.

Also, different depths, different types of modulation are accessible, for even more creativity, thanks to the additional controls available in the application. The effect is very organic, lush and deep. It can be tuned with precision and retains great detail and complexity across the entire spectrum.

The Source Audio Vertigo Tremolo is a true Swiss army knife for tremolo and modulation fans. The concept is formidable, the flexibility enormous, the possibilities almost infinite via the application, and its sound signature particularly additive. All for one of the most attractive prices!
