The RedSeven Chaos Theory is, as its name suggests, a high-gain pedal capable of shaking the walls! If you're looking for the equivalent of an additional amp channel with plenty of gain, you've come to the right place!

The pedal is built around two channels. One channel has a 3-band EQ and the usual Drive and Level controls. The other channel is actually a boost, with a dedicated Gain and Level control. The pedal also benefits from two mini-switches: the right one allows you to add a gain stage (fat / normal), and the left one to extend the frequency range in the bass with a V-shaped EQ (vintage / modern). The Chaos Theory is powered by 9V DC.
Ideally, the Chaos Theory should be plugged into a good clean channel. This will give you a dedicated overdriven channel, with a sound halfway between a pushed Soldano and a Mesa Boogie Mark. When plugged into a modern guitar equipped with humbuckers, it really hits the mark! It's very, very dense, with a very thick lower midrange and soaring harmonics. At no point do you feel like you're playing a pedal. This "beast" is a furious overdriven channel, delivering massive gain, with all the right frequencies, where they're needed, without the nasal, shallow sound that most high-gain distortion pedals have. The icing on the cake: the signal-to-noise ratio is optimal, the pedal doesn't blow, which proves all the care taken in its manufacture.
