The Ground Control Locust is a Fuzz (Silicon) type effect pedal of the kind... MASSIVE! Indeed, not only is it made by caribou who know how to weld very well, but it also allows you to deliver devastating drives! Fans of "sound wall", you are where you need to be!
On the outside, it's sober, the case is superb and it's as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. High quality PCB, soldering (of the same caribou) at the top, selected components. We are on the classic: Gain, Volume, Tone with a mini-toggle switch Depth which allows you to broaden more or less the range of action of the Tone button. We appreciate the connection on the top, it's very practical!
Unlike many fuzzes on the market, the Locust is self-sufficient. Indeed, you do not need to "stack" it on a slightly twisted channel for it to give its best. Here, we plug into a clean clear channel of the Two-Rock type and we .... find ourselves ejected into the back wall! The Locust is not lace, it is intended for lovers of big sounds / doom / punk / bulldozer. It's a real wave of winning that you take in the face and it's extremely fun to play. Of course, we can soften the Locust, but it is intended primarily for those looking for a fuzz that imposes. The Tone stack is "mid-notch" which acts mainly on the low end of the spectrum. It works a bit backwards, namely the more you push it, the more bottom and seat it adds. It is rather well seen. How many times do we want with more "wwwmmppff" on a Fuzz that would be too high pitched? The toggle switch allows you to influence the width of the curve for those who would like to accentuate even more the massive character of the Locust. The grain is ultra fluid, it crushes everything in its path, with enormous sustain while maintaining great precision / articulation. It's fun to play, it forgives (almost) everything and you can get riffs that couldn't be more impressive.
