So what do we see on this pedal? The 1968 is in fact two completely separate vibes with the possibility of switching from one to the other. The controls are simple, we have per channel: 1 speed control, a depth control of the effect and a mini-switch to switch from Chorus mode to Vibrato mode. So!
The 1968 is based on the best circuits of the genre of the 60s, with of course the usual "magic touch" dear to the brand. Here, no umpteenth clone, but an original Vibe with everything that makes you appreciate this effect, only better! More level, a wider spectrum, a richer and more complex effect, 2 channels and a multitude of possible uses for this particular effect. In use, plugged into a Strato, we immediately appreciate the fact that the attack is preserved with all the original dynamics. The effect reacts in a very dynamic way and brings a superb color to the sound, whether it is clear or saturated. The big advantage of the 1968 is being able to have a very expressive Leslie on channel A and a Vibe with an ultra-dense effect on channel B, for example. Big plus, even with different speed and depth settings, the transition is smooth and progressive when you switch from one channel to another.
