Developing products that sound is above all having a "musical ear". Yes, it may seem surprising to talk about musicality when talking about musical instruments, but it's a fact. The ear and what our English-speaking friends call "sound design" are essential to obtain something of quality. Well that's what Jesse Davey has. An excellent ear for tweaking existing material and making it into something you, dear fellow guitarists, must have! This is the case with this The Octaland, a perfect and improved recreation of the great classics of the genre!
Level finish, it's pretty. We match the great high-end "boutique" standards of the genre. Quality case, firm knobs, very thick PCB with a very well done assembly, all in a small format. What are the guitar people asking for? Nothing more everything is there! It's top quality and will last for years without flinching.
So what do we see on this pedal? Well it couldn't be simpler: a Volume, a Drive, a Blend which allows you to inject more or less octaves in parallel with the drive. The Voice knob acts as a tone and also allows you to change the clarity of the effect. Also, a 3-position toggle switch: Vintage (standard, neutral), Glass (top of the spectrum and presence highlighted) and Fat / Full (bottom of the boosted spectrum and more thickness). Use this small switch in parallel with the small Voice button and you have maximum versatility to tune your sound as you see fit. The 2022 version brings 6 dip-switches on the side and 2 internal controls: Bias and Gain
Attention! With The Octaland, we are on very vintage Fuzz Octavia, pure juice! Unlike most Fuzzs that need a slight crunch / break up to wake up, this Octaland Mini works just as well in this configuration as on a 100% clean channel. We will appreciate the thing, this allowing us to use it in a multitude of configurations. Fan of the sound of Hendrix and SRV? This pedal is for you! Stacked on a Marshall like amp, with a drive at 10:00 and a Toggle on Glass, we get a superb Octavia, perfectly defined and 100% responsive. By pushing the gain and switching to Fat/Full, you get a devastating fuzzy drive that Bonamassa wouldn't deny with, and that's where the Octaland makes all the difference, the Octavia effect still very present, even with a gain pushed to its last intrenchments. We do not lose the "mix" regardless of the setting, it remains perfectly defined. It sings, it's fluid, very tight, thick and very much old school! Stratocaster recommended to be able to take full advantage of all the nuances and possible interactions with the knobs and pickups of the guitar. The Dip-Switches bring enormous versatility and allow you to play on the grain, the EQ and the dynamics.

You will tell us "yes, but there are 150 fuzzes on the market and less expensive than that one". Certainly... But we challenge you to find one with an octave of this quality and as much flexibility! ;) BBbbvvvvVVvvvvZzzz! Not a Zeppelin, it will end up on your pedalboard!
