Quality case with a perfect and colorful finish, top-notch PCB, very progressive and musical controls, no doubt, we are at Flattley. It can be seen and heard! The controls couldn't be more classic: Volume, Tone and Sustain. This last knob will allow you to sweep a wide range of tones ranging from the classic Fuzz Face to the modified Big Muff.
Connected to a very slightly twisted clean channel (the recipe for a "juicy" fuzz sound) we attack with a strato in hand and.... all the way! Yes, the Solaris is a pedal with which you should not ask any questions. Volume to suit you, maximum sustain and tone depending on the desired grain. For a typically Hendrix sound, we will push it around 2:00 p.m. With this setting we have this legendary 60's Fuzz sound. The pedal delivers a dense, fluid, slightly hollow drive, with this very characteristic "fizz" and this attack which tends to crash when pushed with the right hand. A little boomy side which mixed with this timeless drive immerses us in the historical sounds that all guitarists love. By switching on the boost channel, we recover a "massive" volume with additional dynamics which allows you to pass through the mix in all circumstances. Nice thing with this type of effect.
Less dense than the DG and higher pitched than the latter, it will satisfy fans of vintage sounds without suffering from the limitations inherent in most pedals of the genre. And not to spoil anything, its finish looks amazing on a pedalboard!
