The guitar of David Grissom, studio musician and blues great, the DGT is one of the most popular models in the range. Boasting a reputation that speaks for itself, its hybrid design, inspired by the McCarty, is halfway between the Les Paul and the Stratocaster. This elegant double-cut represents the very essence of Paul Reed Smith's philosophy, combining aesthetics, versatility, and playability.
In terms of sound, the PRS DGT is the missing link between the Strat and the mahogany solid-body. It features the open midrange and fluid tones typical of Gibson, but with an articulation, brightness, and airiness that only stratoid guitars can offer. Prized by rock, pop, and blues guitarists, it's a true Swiss Army knife. In this DGT version, it comes with a custom neck and pickups created through the close collaboration between David Grissom and Paul Reed Smith.
The DGT boasts a high-end construction: cellulose finish, mahogany body and neck (deep joint), rosewood fingerboard, carved maple top, natural binding. It is equipped with PRS DGT pickups and a 3-way + push-pull switch for maximum versatility.
