Signature James Hetfield, la Snakebyte est une guitare de forme Explorer et symbole du guitariste rythmique mythique du groupe Metallica. Déclinaison de l'EXP et MX-220 ce modèle en impose de par son gabarit massif et sa signature sonore - bulldozer - une fois branché.
Entièrement fabriquée à la main au Custom Shop Japon, elle représente le summum de ce que la marque peut produire de part l'exceptionnelle attention aux détails dont elle bénéficie.
Ce modèle fabriqué en très petite quantité chaque année, bénéficie d'une sélection des essences implacable et du savoir faire inégalé du Custom Shop de la marque. Elle est construite autour d'un corps en acajou 2 pièces très léger et d'un manche collé - deep joint - également en acajou, doté d'une touche ébène. Elle bénéficie d'une finition gloss et de micros EMG JH.
