Ah... The highly sought-after ESP MX. Explorer-shaped guitar and symbol of James Hetfield, legendary rhythm guitarist of the group Metallica. Appearing in the early 90s, in different versions (EXP, MX-220...), this model impresses with its massive size and its signature sound - bulldozer - once plugged in. In 2022, ESP announced the end of its marketing. It is therefore to compensate for this lack that we offer you the Navigator N-EX-LTD, a "historical" version of the Explorer which inspired the MX and its past variations.
Entirely handcrafted in the Custom Shop Japan, the Navigator range offers historical replicas of the models that have made the history of the guitar (Les Paul, Strat, Tele, SG, JM, JB, Flying V and Explorer). The Navigator represents the pinnacle of what the brand can produce due to the exceptional attention to detail they benefit from.
This model, made in very, very, very small quantities each year, benefits from an implacable selection of woods and the unrivaled know-how of the brand's Custom Shop. The body is very similar to that of the MX-220 but with a slightly shorter scale length (original vintage). The N-EX is built around a very light 2-piece mahogany body (the same used for James Hetfield), a glued neck - deep joint - also in mahogany and equipped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. It benefits from exceptional fretwork, a unique gloss Silver Burst finish and EMG JH pickups.
